Drink Green Lakes Organic Ale, Help Save Wild Salmon
Healthy rivers are very important to us at Deschutes, especially since it’s one of the main sources we tap into to make great beer. If we don’t have clean rivers, our beer and the craft beer industry in Oregon wouldn’t be where it is today.
Salmon-Safe works to keep our urban and agricultural watersheds clean enough for native salmon to spawn and thrive.
When ideas begin to arise on what it would take to clean up our waterways. The streams, rivers, lakes that we rely on for agriculture and for drinking. And that nature relies on. Well at first all sorts of novel ideas begin, but never really institute past the verbal conversation phase; we might here, "well maybe if we.." or even "If it were up to me, then..." Luckily and thankfully for the people at Deschutes Brewery the action of just doing what you had in mind, deciding to make an organic ale might be an idea against the grain and a lot of hard work, but when the results come home.. well than yes that intuition that these people have is more of what we need to make a difference for the betterment of the land and for our own health.
