Beer and Bacon Toffee


  • 1/4 C Armory XPA
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1/2 C corn syrup
  • 3 Tbs unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 C pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt


  1. Line baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside
  2. Combine bacon, salt, and pecans in a small bowl and set aside
  3. In a heavy saucepan, mix together beer, sugar, corn syrup and butter
  4. Heat on medium-high without stirring to 250 degrees F or for about 5-8 minutes
  5. Start stirring a lot until mixture reaches 350 degrees F or for another 5-8 minutes (should start turning cream and then light brown)
  6. Don’t let it stick to pot
  7. Remove from heat and quickly add dry mixture with the bacon and such
  8. Pour evenly on baking sheet and spread out a bit with spatula
  9. let harden and cool
  10. Break or cut into pieces and enjoy with a pint of Armory XPA!
