Ale Potato Chips


  • 3 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 ¼ C flour
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 Tbs garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 C olive oil
  • 1 12oz bottle Red Chair NWPA


Mix the flour with the spices, cornstarch and beer to create a batter. Heat the oil in a sauce pot over medium high heat. Dip the potato slices into the batter and fry in the oil until golden brown. Serve with homemade ketchup and a pint of Red Chair NWPA.
