Bend’s Barrel-Aged Brew Fest

Posted on: September 1st 2012

Last night kicked off the 4th go around of our favorite home-grown beer festival, The Little Woody. Barrel-aged beers only, we pulled out a version of our Twilight Summer Ale that was aged in Oregon Pinot barrels and Plum Line Sour, an experimental brew last poured during Philly Beer Week. There were many other unique oak-aged beers being served from the local brew scene, plus a few more from the other side of the Cascades, creating quite the flavor filled experience.

The Central Oregon Beer Angels, founded by Deschutes Brewery’s very own social media diva, Gina Schauland, were in sensory heaven and gathered for a group photo.

If you can’t make it down there today, definitely mark your calendar for a visit to Bend to “hang with your gnomies” at next year’s Little Woody!
