Introducing Hazetron

An Imperial HAZY India Pale Ale - utilizing experimental hop varieties and modern hopping techniques to create the perfect beer for craft beer lovers looking for new, interesting, and bold hop flavors. 
Inspired by our exploration into new and experimental hops (and hop products), Hazetron pushes the realm of Deschutes IPAs even further. Notes of fresh pineapple, sticky resin, and candied orange combine with a soft mouthfeel in this Imperial Hazy IPA at 8% ABV and 55 IBUs.    Hazetron has futuristic associations originally intended to serve as a base for our experimentation with new hops as they become available. But, as if by magic, the Simcoe Cryo and Experimental 630 enter the beer as seemingly ordinary hops, but the flavors and aromas that emerge are anything but. Biotransformation (a chemical modification made by an organism on a chemical compound) from active fermentation dry hopping delivers explosive juicy tropical fruit character more impressive than artificial intelligence, with hits of resin to balance out a deceptively smooth drinking Imperial Hazy. 

Available in 6 pack cans, on draft, and soon 19.2oz cans, this is just the beginning of the IPA story as fantasy becomes reality. Hazetron IIPA has grown from a small batch experimental beer - to a pub favorite – to launching beyond Oregon hitting Deschutes’ full distribution footprint by spring of next year.
