Brewery
Production Brewer:
Candidates will be required to have production brewing experience on a 50bbl or larger system and/or a degree or certification in brewing related course studies. This position will be responsible for the brewing process from preparation of the raw materials through the fermentation process. The successful candidate will have a passion for quality beer, attention to detail and be highly motivated to contribute to company-wide initiatives. Wage is dependent on experience.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in a team-based work environment
• Effective communication skills
• Motivated self starter with a strong work ethic
Job Requirements:
• High degree of organizational skills
• Ability to follow safety and product quality standards
• Proven ability to work independently
• Routine heavy lifting and stair climbing
• Rotating on all shifts, including weekends
Sales Account Specialist - Seattle/King County metro area:
The ideal candidate will have great beer knowledge, exceptional communication skills, great attitude and a solid level of experience either in adult beverage sales, F&B leadership and/or event management. This position will be responsible for managing sales efforts for a specific number of key accounts in multiple distributor territories under the guidance/leadership of a Market Sales Manager. The Account Sales Specialist will promote Deschutes Brewery products approximately 80% of the time with on premise accounts and events and the remaining of time with off premise accounts and distributor management. The overall focus will be building strong relationships with key accounts through account visits; day, night and weekend promotions; educational programs and events.
Required experience/skills:
• Four year college degree or comparable work experience;
• Exceptional interpersonal skills;
• Strong self/time management skills;
• Knowledge of legal issues related to alcohol sales: liquor laws, promo values;
• PC proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint;
• Solid written and verbal communication skills;
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record;
• A passion for the craft beer industry and Deschutes Brewery products.
Position responsibilities will include:
• Manage top 150 buying accounts;
• Support distributor selling efforts to include crew drives, work withs, reporting systems;
• Secure all account standards including POS, menu listing, programs, staff training;
• Promotion and event management.
