The Financial Analyst will work directly with our CFO and managers throughout the organization to provide financial and business analysis that enhances our operational insight and adds value to the organization. The Financial Analyst is accountable for supporting user requests for financial reports and analysis, supporting capital budget requests, maintaining the company’s operating reports, generating pricing analysis and automating data reporting. Responsibilities will include maintenance of our company financial model and operating reports, performing NPV and return analysis on complex capital projects up to $60M, collaborate with managers to generate data to aid in strategic and tactical decision making, analyzing product cost to make pricing recommendations, and assisting with forecasting for financial modeling. REQUIRED: Four year college degree in a financial discipline, MBA preferred; strong financial modeling skills; firm grasp of microeconomic concepts; ability to apply value based pricing methodology; strong written and verbal communication skills; expert level proficiency in Excel and a passion for the craft beer industry and Deschutes Brewery products. Packaging Training Lead:
This position is the key leader for training and development within our Packaging department. They will collaborate with our Training and Development Manager to develop high quality, consistent training processes to meet training needs for new employees, qualification standards and advanced operations. REQUIRED: 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with a packaging focus in a leadership and/or training role, strong organizational and detail oriented skill set, knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and be results driven.
2 full time positions; 1 for swing shift, 1 for graveyard. Looking for a team player with strong mechanical expertise to provide mechanical and technical support to our Packaging department. Must be self motivated, a hard worker, has leadership qualities and eager to learn and take on additional responsibility. $14/hour plus shift differential with the opportunity to grow wages with knowledge and experience on our equipment.
This full time position will be responsible for sanitation in the production areas of Brewing and Packaging. Primary shift will be days covering weekends with midweek days off but must be flexible to work off shifts when necessary. Must have knowledge of sanitation chemicals and equipment, effective problem solving skills, ability to work independently and have a solid team based orientation. $14/hour.
This position will assist the Project Manager and other engineers in overall Corporate Capital and Expansion activities for the Brewery and associated Pubs by taking responsibility for implementing a project from conceptual design stages to startup and commissioning. Supports new equipment installation and continual vision of plant expansion and upgrades. Provides mechanical, process and electrical technology expertise to all departments. REQUIRED: College degree in Engineering, minimum 5 years of process engineering and project management experience, multiple project management experience with a value greater than $1M, proficiency with project management software, broad understanding of all associated codes and regulations, varied manufacturing environment experience. Electrical controls experience will be a plus.
This position will coordinate the recruitment efforts of the entire company by designing and implementing the overall recruiting strategy for Deschutes Brewery. Our Recruiter will work with hiring managers to determine quality/skills needed for open positions, source candidates, develop a business and recruiting network and develop standardized hiring practices. REQUIRED: Bachelor degree in a business related discipline with an HR focus or comparable experience in a recruiting position with HR generalist responsibilities; experience sourcing qualified candidates through networking, social media, industry related groups, education based outlets and contingency recruiters; demonstrated experience developing a recruiting plan for a mid to large size company with multiple locations; experience with all legal aspects of Human Resources with the ability to act as an HR Generalist.
Brewmaster of Product Development:
Our Brewmaster of Product Development will oversee all functions related to new product development and beer production for our Pubs, barrel program and pilot brew system. The successful candidate will have a passion for craft beer and share our desire to constantly push the envelope when it comes to quality and creativity while having the experience and expertise to run a sophisticated and growing brewery. This person will bring outstanding leadership skills, technical & creative expertise and proficiency in brewing operations. Responsibilities will include: Leadership of a team of Assistant Brewmasters; lead beer formulation and innovation; planning for future needs of our brewing department in career development, facility growth and equipment needs; ability to be a leader who develops cohesive, collaborative communications company-wide; support of a lean culture by engaging continuous improvement and problem solving techniques; and representation of Deschutes Brewery in a variety of formats from beer dinners to industry events to media engagements. Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Fermentation Sciences, a minimum of 10 years professional, production brewing experience including knowledge of a broad range of brewing styles, long range planning experience with expansion and equipment purchase to meet design criteria and proven fiscal responsibility. Strong computer proficiency in Office programs is required.
