Our Maintenance department is hiring two LME Maintenance Techs--one for swingshift and one for graveyard. The primary responsibilities will be maintaining production packaging and brewing equipment with work on energy sources, minor emergency fabrication and maintenance electrical. Both shifts will include weekend work with mid week days off. REQUIREMENTS: LME license, a minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, PLC programming experience, light fabrication and well rounded mechanical skills. You must have a positive attitude and the ability to work unsupervised, good communication skills and knowledge of industry safe work practices. This position requires routine lifting up to 50 pounds. $21/hour
Tour Guide; Part Time:
Our Tour Guides share the amazing process of craft brewing through public tours and tastings. If you have a thirst for craft beer knowledge (pun intended), awesome communication skills and an infectious positive attitude….this position is for you! You will be the 1st impression of Deschutes Brewery to guests and providing extraordinary experiences by celebrating the culture of craft beer and Deschutes Brewery. Our expectation of you: Great attitude and presentation skills, comfortable communication skills in a group setting, ability to show grace and enthusiasm in a high stress/busy environment, and solid knowledge and passion for craft beer. This will be 4 – 6 weekend shifts per month with some midweek shifts available.
Account Sales Specialist, East Bay/South Bay:
This position will be responsible for Deschutes Brewery sales efforts in Richmond/Oakland, San Jose, Santa Cruz and Monterey. The ideal candidate will have great beer knowledge, exceptional communication skills, great attitude and a solid level of experience either in adult beverage sales, F&B leadership and/or event management. Our Account Sales Specialists promote Deschutes Brewery products approximately 80% of the time with on premise accounts and events and the remaining of time with off premise accounts and distributor management. The overall focus will be building strong relationships with key accounts through account visits; day, night and weekend promotions; educational programs and events. REQUIRED experience/skills: four year college degree or comparable work experience, exceptional interpersonal skills, strong self/time management skills, knowledge of legal issues related to alcohol sales, PC proficiency, solid written and verbal communication skills and a passion for the craft beer industry and Deschutes Brewery products. MUST reside within the territory and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
