17th Annual “Great Balls of Fire” Fundraiser for Oregon Heat
Put a Fire In Your Belly To Heat Someone’s Home!
Who: Salvador Molly’s “A World of Flavors” restaurant in Hillsdale
What: 17th Annual Great Balls of Fire fundraiser for Oregon Heat, a non-profit organization assisting low-income households with paying their heating bills.
How: Proceeds from every order of “Great Balls of Fire” habanero & cheese fritters will be donated to non-profit Oregon Heat during the entire month of February. All year long, restaurant customers are “dared” to eat 5 fritters to earn their picture on Salvador Molly’s Hall of Flame. Almost 25K orders were ordered in 2012.
When: Kick-off: Sunday, January 27th @ 12 noon with the “Toughest Tongue in Town” eating challenge. Competitors in costume gather for the title and try to eat the most “Great Balls of Fire”, officially launching a restaurant-wide dare for the next 6 weeks to help make a donation for every ball eaten!
Final Challenge: Saturday, March 2nd, “King of Heat” will win the crown for most balls eaten.

Special Fire Cocktail made with the world’s hottest ghost chili
