Healing Reins: On July 10th, 2010 Deschutes Brewery employees rebuilt the Sensory Trail at the Healing Reins Therapeutic Riding Center. This work included painting and adding traction to the boardwalks on the trail, installing shelves and buckets at the sensory stations, weeding along the trail paths, and other miscellaneous repair projects.

Deschutes Brewery has volunteered to be the pilot business for Volunteer Connect’s Corporate Volunteering Program. Volunteer Connect is a non-profit organization in Central Oregon that connects individuals and businesses with volunteer opportunities. The Corporate Volunteering Program is designed to match volunteer opportunities for local businesses based on values, interests, and marketing goals.

HOW TO APPLY
Funding decisions are made by our Community Involvement Committee, a group of employees from throughout the brewery. Deschutes Brewery looks for non-profit organizations that demonstrate creativity, diversity and an innovative approach to their mission and objectives. The Donation committee also looks for organizations that are directly meaningful or already supported by our employees themselves.

We will consider all requests meeting our guidelines equally. To request a donation, please fill out this donation request form completely and email, mail or fax it back to us. Please note that completing the form does not guarantee a donation; it is a way for us to learn more about your event and determine if we are able to offer support at this time. All requests must be submitted a minimum of 30 days prior to your event to be considered. Because of the number of requests we receive and the fact that our committee meets monthly, it can take several weeks to process your request.
