Kick off the fall season with locally harvested foods and 5 different fresh hop ales. Join our new Executive Chef, TR McCrystal, for his inaugural Deschutes beer dinner and have your taste buds delighted with in-season food locally sourced from farms around our area that will pair perfectly with a variety of our fresh hop brews.

Our tasty food menu may change due to the availability of locally harvested foods, but this is what we have in mind:

Meet the Oregon chefs, brewers, artisans and winemakers you've read about, and enjoy cooking demonstrations from celebrated chefs like Chris Cosentino, April Bloomfield, and Naomi Pomeroy at the KitchenAid Main Demo Stage. Portland decided it's high time they had our own world-class celebration of food, drink and everything else that makes Portland awesome and since our pub is a popular destination in the Pearl District of Portland, we decided to get involved and we hope you do too.

Pub Pretzel

Ingredients

1 ounce yeast
2 Tbs sugar
2½ C Inversion IPA
1 Tbs salt
2 Tbs soft butter
2 lbs 4 ounces hi gluten flour

Pretzel Cheese Dip

Ingredients

1 lb cream cheese
8 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1 pint heavy cream
1 tsp salt

Directions

Beat all ingredients in a mixer until they are thick, then scoop into a dish & bake at 350 degrees until bubbly. THEN...Mix 1 C whole grain mustard & 1/4 C Black Butte Porter together & put on top of the cheese dip! Serve with a Deschutes beer...ENJOY!

Ingredients

Obsidian Stout Braised Beer Pork Belly

¾ inch thick pork belly, cured and smoked (for one burger)
1 bottle Obsidian Stout

Directions

Place pork belly it in a shallow roasting pan and barely cover with Obsidian Stout beer. Cover pan with foil and roast at 325 degrees for 3 hours. Gently remove from liquid with a slotted spoon and use immediately or you can cool if made ahead, in which case save some liquid to reheat it in

Peanut Butter Pie

Ingredients

Cream Inside
2 C sugar
1 lb cream cheese
2 C peanut butter
2 C heavy cream

Directions

Mix all ingredients except cream. When those ingredients are mixed, then whip in the heavy cream.

10 oreo cookies
1 stick of butter, melted

Directions

Ground up oreos and mix in melted butter until you get a thick crust. Line a small tin or pie tin. Pour in inside cream from above
