Deschutes Brewery will be the feature Brewery on tap on Thursday, June 5th at Three Kings Public House! They will be pouring three of our highly sought after & limited beers from our portfolio. Here is the line-up:
2013 Black Butte XXV (25th Anniversary) Dates, figs and chocolate. Black currants, barrel-aged in bourbon casks. The result is an Imperial Porter with a tart berry and chocolate aroma with luscious layers of dried fruit, oak and vanilla. A fitting tribute to the 25th Anniversary of their flagship beer.
Join Ryan Chase of Deschutes Brewery at The Lifeline Taphouse in Redmond, Oregon for a five course dinner paired with Deschutes Brewery beers! The tentative menu is as follows:
Course 1. Spent Grain Bread Sticks with Beer Cheese dipping sauce paired with Twilight Summer Ale.
Course 2. Cajun Mandarin Chicken Salad with Poppy seed red wine vinaigrette paired with Chainbreaker White IPA.
Course 3. Palate Cleansing Sorbet with River Trail Ale.
Course 4. Barley Beef Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin paired with Hop in the Dark, Cascadian Dark Ale.
The beauty of Pickett’s Charge is to watch and race with the aforementioned talented pro racers (okay, usually from behind) enthusiastic masters, juniors and beginner mountain bike racers. The goal of Pickett’s Charge in Don Leet’s words is to “have the funnest course with the most single track.”
Guess it’s a good thing that a large part of the race takes place on a trail called “Funner.” Also a good thing the race ends with a cold pint of Deschutes Brewery beer in your hand! Couldn't think of a better way to end this mountain bike race! Cheers!
