Every June (Ok...this year it's a tad late), fans like you look forward to an anniversary celebration brew that is an annual exercise in experimentation. Our brewers tinker with the recipe by throwing in some crazy ingredients (this year it’s dates and figs to replace last year’s orange and chilies) in order to meaningfully commemorate the brewery’s birthday.

The Ninth Annual Hops in Humboldt will take place Saturday, August 25, 2012 in Fortuna's Rohner Park. Mark your calendars and join us as we feature over 40 of the best craft breweries from across the country!

Hops in Humboldt is a non-profit organization and all proceeds are donated back to the community. In the heart of the redwoods, just off US 101, 18 miles South of Eureka and 253 miles North of San Francisco rests the Friendly City of Fortuna, the home of the biggest beer fest in Humboldt.

The patio at Billy’s is impressive any day of the week, but tonight it will be graced by special guest, Woody – Deschutes Brewery’s giant traveling beer barrel.

Not only is the Deschutes Brewery gang coming over from Oregon, but they’re bringing brewer Chris Dent and giant traveling beer barrel Woody with them. The whole crew will be here to sample beers with you, such as their rare, barrel-aged Reserve Series beers: Black Butte XXI, XXII & XXIII, The Abyss and The Stoic.
