The Great American Beer Festival is the premier U.S. beer festival and competition.
Each year, GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served, in a public tasting event plus a private competition. GABF brings together the brewers and diverse beers that make the U.S. the world’s greatest brewing nation.
GABF was founded in 1982, and has been growing and evolving along with the American craft brewing industry ever since.
Oregon's soil produces amazing fruits and vegetables. The vineyards grow grapes that make award-winning wines. The hops are the reason Portland has more breweries than any other city in the world. The ocean provides sustainably caught salmon, Dungeness crab and tuna. And the beef, pork and chicken are organic and raised to the highest standards. Oregon grows much of the country's hazelnuts, marionberries and green beans. And the forests are home to so many exotic mushrooms the Japanese have Oregon on speed dial.
