We've been in LA all week celebrating our fanatical love for craft beer, and the celebration is wrapping up with a grand flair at House of Blues. Guests will have access to the members only Foundation Room, where Nitro Obsidian Stout will be on tap and sampling of all of our year-round beers such as the infamous Black Butte Porter will take place. Paired with the beer will be a special selection of scrumptious appetizers. Downstairs in the music hall Mirror Pond Pale Ale will be on tap, ready to rock it to the reggaeton sounds of Prince Royce.

Thank goodness it’s Friday, and it’s time to wind down after a long week with some damn tasty beers and snacks. That’s right, the gang from Deschutes Brewery will be around to chat about our hand crafted brews like hard-to-find Hop Henge Experimental IPA and Chainbreaker White IPA. Of course you will want to try these brews along side The Village Idiot's delicious snacks like their risotto balls.

We will be visiting the Fairfax Whole Foods Thursday evening to talk with fellow craft beer fans and provide samples of our award winning beers. Our digital marketing manager will also guide you through a sampling of The Stoic, a limited release barrel-aged Belgian-styled ale. Cheers!

Attention homebrewers…come hone your craft with the gang from Oregon’s Deschutes Brewery, including brewer Robin Johnson. Specialty beer tastings of rarities like Black Butte XXII, The Abyss and The Stoic paired with some tasty appetizers will whet your palate. And that’s not all…five more Deschutes beers will be on tap including Obsidian Stout on Nitro and Chainbreaker White IPA. Robin will also be leading a deconstruction of the never-released Black Butte XXII, providing tastings of some of the specialty ingredients.

Join us as we kick off five whole days of celebratory beer drinking otherwise known as Base Camp Week. The Deschutes Brewery team will be whooping it up this evening pairing favorite brews such as Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter, Chainbreaker White IPA, Hop Henge Experimental IPA, and even The Abyss with some hand-crafted, specially selected appetizers.

Did you know that Wednesday is associated with the messenger of the gods, Mercury, in ancient Roman culture? Well, we don’t know much about antiquity, but we’re ready to celebrate Wednesday by pairing up some artisan cheeses with Black Butte XXIII, The Abyss and The Stoic. In attendance to chat about the intricate and lengthy techniques for creating these beers is one of our very own brewers, Robin Johnson. We’re not promising any winged sandals, but we can promise some great beer, great company and the perfect way to spend your “dies Mercurii” in the City of Angels.

Tracktown 12 is the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Track & Field. It's the largest national championship track meet in the world and will select the athletes to represent Team USA at the London Olympic Games in 2012. From June 22nd-July1st, Deschutes beer will be flowing all around Hayward Field celebrating this momentous event! Join our brewers, staff, & Woody (our traveling wooden beer barrel) for a week of fun filled events, Deschutes beer inspired food items and killer beer, of course! With the close of Deschutes Brewery’s multi-day celebration of craft beer comes an all-day party full of fun and mayhem. At locations throughout Schweitzer Mountain Resort, party-goers can pick up raffle tickets, turn them in at Woody (he’s a hard-to-miss giant beer barrel), and be entered to win gear and swag from Deschutes Brewery.
