To celebrate the official release of Zarabanda, our collaboration with renowned Chef José Andrés, we threw a party at one of his restaurants so we could pair this Spanish inspired saison with a few of his ridiculously tasty dishes. And since we had both Gary Fish, Deschutes Brewery's founder, and José in the same room at the same time, we jumped at the opportunity to have them talk about their friendship, how this collaboration came together, and what this beer is all about.Cheers to friendship! Cheers to Zarabanda!
It's hard to believe but it's been two years since Alan Sprints from Hair of the Dog Brewing Company came over to Bend to brew Fred and Adam at our brewing facility for our first collaboration project. The Dissident and The Stoic were later brewed and all four beers were then transferred into a variety of oak barrels.
