We are very excited to announce that we came home this weekend from the 2011 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO, with some new hardware! Above, Larry, Alicia, Jake and Ryan pose with Charlie Papazian as they accept one of three awards.

In the Wood and Barrel-Aged Strong Stout category, Bourbon Murder, the bourbon barrel aged version of Murder by Mashtun Stout brewed at our Portland Brew Pub, won a Gold Medal.

Pinot Jubel, a batch of last year's Jubelale aged in Pinot Noir barrels, won a bronze medal in the Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer category.

And a Bend Brew Pub favorite, Down 'N Dirty IPA, won a bronze medal in the English-Style India Pale Ale. This beer is brewed each year for the throngs of racers who participate in the Dirty Half Marathon each June.

Congratulations to our excellent team of brewers on continuing their GABF winning streak and thank you to all of our fans who come down to both pubs with adventurous palates, willing to try all of the experimental, one-off brews that are tap throughout the year. Bravely Done!
