The 2nd annual Deschutes Brewery Farmer’s Feast is coming up Saturday, September 11th at 6pm in our Mountain Room. We will be joined this year by Matt Borlen of Borlen Cattle Company, Pierre Kolisch of Juniper Grove Farm, and farmers from Fields Farms.
Our Brewer’s have brewed and selected some fantastic beers for this event. We will taste among others, the Oregon 151, this years strawberry version of our all Oregon beer, MacEyelah Scotch Ale, and because I refuse to let go of summer, a Pinot barrel aged Twilight Ale.
We have been visiting the Wednesday Farmers market here in Bend, and though the menu is not set, yet, I have been drawn to the fresh artichokes that I am seeing there. The sweet corn has been fantastic this year and I also have visions of stuffed cherry tomato poppers since the cherry tomatoes look and smell so great. I am sure we will find a way to utilize the amazing berries and peaches that we have been seeing there, as well, this summer.
The final menu will be determined the week of the dinner as we hand-pick the ingredients from the farmer's market. Tickets are $65 per person and include a five course dinner paired with our beers.
